Thor's Tabletop Saga

Another date missed!

Well the kid's plague became the family's plague and we were all knocked out of commission for Christmas. Straight from the flu he then waltzes into a sleep regression so mom and dad are both absolute husks of humans. I digress, this isn't a parenting blog.

Since I last posted I've had about twoish hours of hobby time. I tried to make the most of that and continued on the same three projects from the last post. The Baden jagers and Saxon line both got some additional base colours blocked in. They kind of look like trash at this stage of painting but I promise they'll look half decent once completed.

The Tatar warrior unit also has had a little bit of progress made with flesh and boots painted this week.

I was able to get some reading in here and there when the kid was sleeping. I've been reading Broken Eagles – Napoleon and his German Allies in the 1813 Campaign by John Gill. This first volume covers the Saxon and Bavarian contingents during the 1813 campaigns in Germany. Gill is one of the better Napoleonic writers and has an extensive three (sort of four) volume series on the 1809 Danube campaign that is also well worth reading.

I realise this is probably the most boring blog anyone has ever read, if anyone is even reading, but my hope is once we're all back to work and school schedules I'll have more predictable hobby time and progress might get made on projects.
