Thor's Tabletop Saga

A "Small" test

Well clearly Monday's are not working for me as a deadline.

I didn't have a ton of hobby time this past week but ended up with the first bout of hobby ADD since relaunching the blog. I've been really impressed with reading the Beneath the Lily Banners (BLB) rules. At some point I want to paint a project up for the 1680s/1690s in Ireland (likely in 6mm) but in the short term I thought about how I can hopefully get BLB on the table.

To achieve this I test printed some 2mm War of Spanish Succession minis and was happy with the results. I painted up the first two battalions as the French Artois regiment. Bases are on the way across the Atlantic from Pendraken currently.

I'm generally happy with how this turned out and that it took only about 3 hours end to end to paint the two units. Hopefully I'll get the printer going this weekend with some test Cavalry and artillery units amongst some other new projects.

Minimal progress was made elsewhere but here are sloppy looking WIP pictures of an additional 3mm French regiment and Austrian battery for Blücher.

Lastly I'll be helping Anthony out with a new 2026 project he has slightly teased over on his blog. Hopefully more to come on that soon!
